Staffordshire Marquetry Group
Veneer Reference
The images were obtained by direct scanning of unpolished veneers. The area shown is approximately 55 x 90 mm (2" x 3.5"). Inevitably some distortion of colour occurs during the scanning process and while we have tried to correct these, the images should be taken as indications only. In any event, veneers naturally show a wide range of colour, grain & figure.
The veneer collection was assembled by Group members Jim McConnell & Quentin Smith and the reference compiled by Quentin Smith.
These are just 20 of the 120 or more veneers referenced in the full Staffordshire Marquetry Group veneer reference which also includes information about each veneer and cross-references them by genus and family. E-members can download the file from the members' area of the site.
