National Marquetry Exhibition 2007

The 2006 National Exhibition was held in Woodford Bridge, London, hosted by the Redbridge Group.

Despite only entering eight items in three classes, the Group achieved its highest ever points total (27), finishing second behind Chelmsford (30), with every entry receiving an award.

Brian Freeman's "Crofter's Craft" was awarded the Ron Gibbons Trophy for the best miniature in show. Brian thus becoming the first person to "defend" that trophy and making it four wins in six years for Staffordshire members.

Quentin Smith's "Parquetry Egg" won the Miniature Applied class and was also awarded the Jack Byrne Trophy for the best geometric marquetry in show.
