The Severn - Coalbrookdale

A simple but effective marquetry panel carefully set into a recess carved into a solid piece of timber. The lettering is carved in reverse relief, making a really attractive picture.

The Coalport China Works

An excellent example of Jack's mixed media work - marquetry for the picture, carved lettering and pyrography for the bridge-work. Again the base is a solid piece of timber.

The Fifer

This one has the works! Marquetry, pyrography and hand colouring for the picture, with a carved and coloured surrounding border.

Mare and Foal

A more traditional carving, but Jack's special touch is not far away - the trees have been carefully let in using inlay technique.

A detailed pyrography picture with a dramatic border inlaid into the solid background.
